Lest we forget… Over the years, Iron Butterfly have gone through many lineup changes and 2012 was a particularly painful year for the band and fans of the group, which is bookended by deaths. Former guitarist Larry “Rhino” Reinhardt died on January 2, 2012, at the age of 63, due to cirrhosis of the liver; and bassist Lee Dorman, who had a history of heart trouble, died on December 21, 2012, at the age of 70.
This is one of those gigs at a time when original vocalist Doug Ingle was back with the group.
