CLOSE ENCOUNTER OF THE DEAD KIND

The Close Encounters Of The Third Kind movie was a favorite of Jerry Garcia. The 5 note signature theme was first introduced into Grateful Dead jam at a show in January 1978 only a few days after the opening of the movie. Besides all the hoopla about Jerry's solo encounter this is a good show. Well worth the listen even if you are alien to the Dead
A bit of Trivia.....Jerry made a cameo appearance in the film Close Encounters. He appears in the crowd of Indian masses.

Thanks for this and for this fantastic run of GD concerts - it will take some time for my listening to catch up. As with JA and CJ&F before it, this run has given me a host of things I had never heard before. Keep it up, it's great and very much appreciated - Thank you.
