Grace Slick......After Signe became pregnant and announced her departure the airplane immediately began their efforts to bring Grace into the fold. First and foremost was her commandeering stage presence and unbelievable strong vocals. Grace also had very good song writing capabilities. She brought the songs with her that would generate the Airplane into national stars in the record industry. She was the perfect choice for the band to take off literally .
