I hate to be negative, but as a Moodies fan, I found this to be their worst album. Feels like a contractual obligation rather than the usual soulful/emotional Moody Blues album. I bought this when it first came out and give it a listen most years around this time, and I'm still disappointed. The Jorma album is far superior as Christmas album.

Bob..I think this a good album but here is how I see it it...It does not deserve to classified as a true Moody Blues LP. With the loss of Ray Thomas and their older age setting in it does lack the spirit of a True Moody Blues LP It's good for Christmas listening though.
I think my disappoint is that it's the MOODY BLUES. If some other group had made this album, I might like it better, but it seems such a step down for the Moodies. Other artists have maintained their quality doing Xmas records (Jorma Kaukonen, Emmylou Harris, David Grisman, Nat King Cole, Beach Boys, etc.). In my opinion (I could be alone in this) is that there is no "magic" in this xmas album by the Moodies.
Bill, have a very Merry Christmas. Thank you for the great music, it is deeply appreciated (even when I don't like it).
