GOIN' FISHIN'

Going to take a short break. When I return I was thinking of re-posting some CJFish and related material. Someone give a break here and make some comments. What do you like? Does any one listen to the music files if I post them? Any one up for more early progressive? Give me some ideas! More re-posts?

I love your posts - The Tribal Stomp is fantastic (never seen the poets sets before). Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Feel free to post whatever you'd like. I'm sure many of us appreciate what you post, we just don't say thank you often enough.

A lot of times, I download a show, but don't have a chance to listen to it for a week or two, so I don't comment. I'll try to do better:-)

Enjoy your break, and I look forward to your return.

I really enjoy your musical offerings. I think some of the best music is done live, out of the studio warts and all. Thank you for sharing from whatever sources.
Country Joe and the Fish are always enjoyable, especially the earlier stuff. Have a good vacation!

Can never get enough of vintage San Francisco Haight Ashbury stuff like JA, GD, BB, QS, MG and especially CJ&F!
Great job - keep it coming my friend!

Enjoy the vacation. Love this site, wonderful tunes, some early prog would be great, especially some of the more obscure band, some Canterbury stuff from England would be cool, Caravan, etc, thanks again, Bill

Hello fellow dude,

As you are a person of fine taste and you were raised in rock, feel free to post new gems in the wake of those which are already on your blog. Precious material.
And thank you, by the way, we owe you a large amount of unspoken congratulations !
Cheers.

If you ever decide to get into posting video, let me know. I have an extensive collection of 60s Summer of Love/Haight Ashbury/San Francisco groups and more including music, raw footage, documentaries, movies, etc. I have been collecting for a long time.

When you come back, I'd love to hear some SEEDS. I know you're a fan since I've downloaded your compilation and the live show you posted a while back. I know there are new re-issues with bonus tracks. Do you know if it's worth it to buy the albums yet again (LP, then CD, now remasters)?

PS: Enjoy your time off.

Country Joe & The Fish has become somewhat underrated over the years. Not the world's best musicians but inventive jamming none the less. And Joe wrote some magnificent songs. Plus they definitely had the acidy vibe :-)
